founder, Nanci McVille,
was born in New Orleans, lived in New York, Miami and San Francisco and moved
back to New Orleans mostly because she missed the music, New Orleans traditional
Jazz.
"The song, 'Do You Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans' finally got to me...and here I am." Nanci's favorite musicians can be found at The Palm Court Jazz Cafe, Preservation Hall, Snug Harbor and Cafe Brazil. Having a very passionate nature, Nanci is naturally drawn to jazz, New Orleans traditional, contemporary, Latin (from Spanish to Cuban to Brazilian) and jazz standards. People all over the world love the music of New Orleans and Nanci's passion really turns to compassion when it comes to promoting local music and fine local musicians. Nanci has been marketing fitness in downtown New Orleans for several years from the Meridian Hotel, Sheraton Hotel and Canal Place. She has always managed something, from hotel restaurants to fitness centers to her own marketing consulting business. "It's all about listening to people and giving them what they want. It's a simple, easy success formula...and it works!" In her spare time Nanci can be found dancing at her favorite clubs as well as enjoying most aerobic exercise and weight training, as long as there is music involved. |
